Lady wakefield is a spacious cottage with amazing views. the bar and gardens had fine views over the lake. walks near the site are numerous and convenient. The location is superb. i especially enjoyed the amazing walks directly from the location.

The wifi service needs to be improved. Its poor service came at an expensive charge. i was unable to watch even one football match because of the issue. this lack was disappointing given the high quality of the rest of the experience

Excellent Stay in Comfortable Cottage

The Lady Wakefield 3 Bedroom Cottage Lake View No Pets Allowed was well-equipped. A comfortable bed ensured good sleep. The newly decorated bathroom included an excellent shower. The location is near Ullswater. A short walk takes you to Pooley Bridge.

The play equipment was reduced and the wooden fort was torn down but not replaced.

The hotel has a little shop with locally produced products. A big children's playground is on the grounds. A dog wash is available on site, so muddy pups are not a problem.

The cottage had a big picture window. It looked out onto a private patio and green fields beyond. It was good. It was very super clean and well maintained.

It served well, even if prices were at the top end. Visiting food trucks are on site on Friday and Saturday. The bar has great views from both inside and outside.

Staff were lovely and friendly. They were also very helpful with information. I received a phone call prior to arrival. It gave all the details I needed to check in. Fresh milk, coffee, tea, and biscuits were provided upon arrival, a very nice extra!!!

I was really frustrated with several things. first, the bar only served pizza most nights. it's just NOT what i expected. also, the building seemed a bit worn down. Everything looked tired and uninspiring.

Ullswater Stay, A lovely visit

Ullswater is amazing! I found wonderful views. The steam boats are great, and there are many beautiful places for walking. The location was perfect. The surroundings were lovely. The accommodation was gorgeous and clean. It offered everything we needed for our stay.

The double bed reminded me of sleeping on concrete. I now have a bad back. I wish it had been more comfortable.

The Saturday night takeaway truck was a great addition to the site. Warm pastries were available at the shop in the mornings. The Mansion Bar is available as well, with a range of drinks and snacks to guests staying at the hotel.

The apartment provided a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was newly decorated with an excellent shower (the water pressure was great!). The location makes it easy to walk to the village. The staff members are friendly and helpful and provided useful information.

WiFi was available, though I would describe it as only adequate for light internet browsing.

While there is no food served in the bar usually, visiting food trucks came on Friday and Saturday. The bar downstairs from the apartment had great views both inside and outside. I enjoyed the convenience of this setup.

The site includes a shop. It stocks local bacon and sausages, gifts, and essential items at good prices (I especially appreciated the bacon!). There is also a new enclosed play area for kids near the Mansion House.

The cottage had a spacious and beautifully furnished interior, complete with everything I needed for my visit. The location proved perfect , and the thoughtful touches for my two dogs were lovely. I felt genuinely welcome and at home .

The site seemed more focused on static caravans , and the touring area lacked some investment.
